Biography
Dr. Hajghassem graduated in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Arkansas and heads the Characterization Laboratory. He teaches nanomaterial characterisation, material growth and fabrication, microfluidics, electronic physics and MEMS sensor read-out circuits, and has published more than 60 journal and 30 conference papers.
His executive roles include president of the Semiconductor Research Institute, head of the Electrical and Electronics University Complex and secretary of the national Microelectronics Headquarters. He spent five years as CEO and board chair of major ICT holdings and has since mentored graduates into founding five successful knowledge-based companies in electronics and medical devices, several of which have raised second- and third-round investment.
